Gorillaz return to Italy: on Tuesday 5th July 2022 Damon Albarn's band will go up on the exclusive stage of the Verona Arena to present not only the successes of their latest work Song Machine but also all the historical hits for what will be the only one Italian leg of the tour. The Gorillaz project was born in '98 from the meeting of Damon Albarn, leader of Blur, and artist Jamie Hewlett, author of the comic Tank Girl. This is the first virtual group in the history of music, made up of four dark-looking cartoon characters, who tell their adventures to the sound of hip hop, mixed with rock, funk, electronic, dub and reggae sounds. The great success came in 2001 with the first official album containing the very successful single "Clint Eastwood".
