Monte Cimone is one of the main ski resorts in the whole of southern Italy and certainly the most important in the Molise region. The municipality in which this locality falls, located at 1,400 meters above sea level, is that of san massimo, and campitello matese represents its appendix placed higher. Both in summer and in winter it is now a well-known place to relax and have fun while practicing various sports. Environment campitello matese rises on a wide plateau surrounded by high mountain peaks, among which the highest is that of monte miletto (2,050 m.s.l.m.).
