Armando Christian Pérez, better known as Pitbull, was born in 1981 in Miami, Florida, to Cuban parents. Growing up influenced by the Southern hip-hop scene and the cultural melting pot of "Magic City," he began writing rhymes as a teenager. His stage name is no coincidence: the artist stated he chose it because pit bulls are "too stupid to lose" and fight to the end, a philosophy he has applied throughout his entire career.
