Michele Salvemini – stage name Caparezza – was born in Molfetta (his stage name means “curly head” in the Apulian dialect). He made his musical debut as Mikimix with “Donne in minigonne” in 1996. In 1997, he participated in Sanremo with the song “E la notte se ne va” and the album LA MIA BUONA STELLA, before taking a break from the scene. CAPAREZZA!?, released in 2000 by Extra/Virgin, was the first album of his new phase, but it was above all with “Fuori dal tunnel” that “Capa” achieved recognition and success: included in IN SUPPOSTA VERITAS (2003) and used as the theme song for the TV programme Zelig, it became one of the catchphrases of 2004.
