Formed in 1998 by Jared Leto and his brother Shannon, 30 Seconds to Mars began as a small home-based project. Things, however, quickly began to take off, and Matt Wachter joined the band as bassist. After a few changes in guitarists (the band’s first two guitarists, Kevin Drake and Solon Bixler, left the band shortly afterwards), the three, following an audition, invited Tomo Miličević to join the group. Miličević also plays keyboards and violin.
