Pantera is an American heavymetal band originally from Texas, active from 1981 to 2003. Considered the most important metal band of the 90s and one of the most innovative ever, it was born from the Abbott brothers' passion for rock. After Phil Anselmo joined in 1987, the group that had begun its career by releasing some hair rock albums, abandons the old sounds to embrace a rawer and harder sound: 1990 is the golden year with the publication of "Cowboys from Hell" which sanctions the definite change of style that will lead to thrash metal and which thanks to the single of the same name reaches the top positions of the radio charts [...]
