There are many singers and songwriters who are depopulating on radio and social networks with new albums and singles ... and many collaborations. Even for this summer, there is plenty of choice!

As always, the battle of summer hits has already started a few months ago. But who is depopulating in headphones?

The artists took advantage of the long period of stop of the live to retire to the recording room and release new songs. From Mengoni to Mahmood, from Annalisa to Ultimo, passing through the duets of Colapesce and Dimartino with Ornella Vannoni… and the wacky summer trio, which is making everyone dance, composed of Fedez, Achille Lauro and the immortal Orietta Berti.

Among the songs of the moment we also find many foreign new entries.

There are names that you already know very well. But also some novelty, both Italian and foreign, light and light-hearted texts, deep and romantic. In short, it seems that all artists, from scratchy rappers to melodic vocalists, want to have their say even in this 2021.

Last month All Music Italia analyzed some data to know the ranking of the most streamed songs on Spotify. Here are which songs and artists occupied the top ten positions:

Malibù – Sangiovanni (54.489.835 streaming): did you know that the music video, directed by Late Milk, sees the participation of the dancer Giulia Stabile, girlfriend of the singer?! The choreography has already gone viral on Tik Tok... you just have to learn it and publish it on social media!

Loca – Aka 7even (27.052.326): he is among the most appreciated and talented singers of the 20th edition of "Amici di Maria de Filippi". Author, performer and producer of his own songs, he conquered the charts with the catchphrase "Loca".

Mille – Fedez, Achille Lauro & Orietta Berti (22.178.156): awarded not only in streaming, this song is among the most played on radios throughout Italy. About the song, Orietta herself says that: "It conveys that desire for summer and that lightness of the season that we really need". Will this be the secret of its success?

Un bacio all’improvviso – Rocco Hunt & Ana Mena (16.155.153): it is a duet that once again confirms the agreement between the two famous singers, who had already made their fans dance to the Latin American notes of "A step from the moon".  The song tells the story of a young and pure love that knows how to transform even the simplest things into priceless treasures.

Mi fai impazzire – Blanco & Sfera Ebbasta (15.893.865): is the highly appreciated song with an ultra-rhythmic sound by this two artists, together for the first time in a musical collaboration. The text speaks of female desire and independence; it seems to tell of a jealous boy, but in reality it speaks of women who do without men.

Pistolero – Elettra Lamborghini (13.947.222): the queen of social media could not miss in the summer compilation 2021 with a catchy song and drives away thoughts. With this passage, enhanced in its own way and without too many pretensions, it struck us straight at the heart. To dance everywhere, especially with your feet covered up under the sunshade.

Salsa – J-Ax & Jake La Furia (10.601.536): also for this 2021 the uncle of rap has launched into the battle of summer hits. And this time he did it first and in collaboration with another big Italian rap, Jake La Furia. The ironic song, cheerful and carefree, sings the desire for freedom and the taste for simple things. It has been called by J-Ax himself "the most zarro piece ever" and so is the video! Have you seen it?!

Marea – Madame (8.092.761): the first female rapper who took the stage of the Sanremo Festival is now a real phenomenon in constant ascent. And with this sensual song, with sudden changes of rhythm that enhance his vocal whimsy, she demonstrated it once more. Do you want to know the meaning of the song? The artist explains it to you directly on TikTok in a video created specifically to answer the questions of his followers.

Shimmy shimmy – Takagi & Ketra & Giusy Ferreri (6.581.272): it is a song that recalls the atmospheres dear to Arabic music, with Middle Eastern sounds that invite you to let go of passion. Did you know that "shimmy shimmy" is a typical movement of belly dancing and the artists have thought of it precisely to indicate that typical movement that is done with the shoulders or with the pelvis? Not only that, the reference to the Middle East also lies in the use of darabouka and indian sitar in the performance of the song.

Tuttecose – Gazzelle & Mara Sattei (6.268.650): the new and overwhelming song born from the union between one of the most important singer-songwriters of contemporary pop and one of the most talented and incisive artists of the new Italian music scene. The video represents, in a theatrical key, how to achieve the essential, leaving out what is not necessary or indispensable. The song became a catchphrase right from the start, so much so that some Italian bathing establishments have changed its name to "Bagno Tuttecose", in homage to the single. Don't believe it!

However, in the headphones doesn't just rumble music output from Spotify. The one that fills your ears and resonates in the air also comes from other "sources"! There are many other songs to make the hot summer days beautiful and eventful, from pop to rap, from latin to dance.

And so, in addition to the Italian songs mentioned above, here is a playlist of summer catchphrases, hits and Italian and international hit songs! Based a bit on the data published by radio, spotify and youtube we present here the (our) ranking of the songs of the moment that, we are sure, will still accompany you in these last two summer months.

I wanna be your slave – Maneskin: there is no need to say more! The four guys are riding the wave of success after winning both the San Remo Festival and the Eurovision Song Contest. Recently they have even collaborated, on a version of this song (which is also depopulating in the US and UK charts), with the chameleon of punk rock Iggy Pop.

We Could Be Dancing - Bob Sinclar feat. Molly Hammar: is the new overwhelming single from the collaboration of one of the most famous and beloved DJs and producers in the world with one of the undisputed protagonists of the Swedish pop scene. A song with typical sounds of the 80s, which perfectly mixes the extraordinary talent of the DJ with the unique timbre of the pop star.

Higher Power - Coldplay: the song is about "trying to find the astronaut in all of us, the person who can do incredible things", explained the frontman Chris Martin. The band chose to present it for the first time in connection from the International Space Station. While for the video clip he chose an equally futuristic sci-fi setting, on a destroyed but colorful alien planet, where alien dancers and robot dogs accompany the group with their choreography.

Happier Than Ever - Billie Eilish: what happens in the head of a person tormented by paparazzi, stalkers and massive media attention? This new single is a journey into the tormented mind of the singer. Thanks to her talent, Billie manages to tell the complicated life of a celebrity, but without any trace of victimhood. The winning card of the single certainly lies in satisfying the curiosity of all those who crave success, but who will never have.

Love Again - Dua Lipa: once again it is she who is the master in dance music with a song that speaks of female emancipation and sexuality. But beware! In the dance music scene, the new song by Ed Sheeran, Bad Habits, remixed together with the Italians Meduza, is also making itself increasingly felt.

Stay - The Kid Laroi & Justin Bieber: for their second time together the Australian rapper and the Canadian singer (they had already collaborated on the track Unstable) have churned out a song defined as hip pop, pop, pop rock, pop punk, new wave, etc... so as to satisfy everyone a little! It seems to be the right mood, considering that the song immediately jumped to the top of the world charts, including Italy.

Allegria – Gianni Morandi: a true hymn to life and joy in the pop version, which embodies the desire to start again and not give up. But let's talk about the video "It went like this, to shoot the video to Jovanotti it occurred to ask Valentino Rossi for hospitality. He immediately answered sure, tell me when you come I want to be there. He finally appeared in the video bringing the watermelons to the table." You're smiling, we see you!

Toy Boy – Colapesce e Dimartino & Ornella Vannoni: the Sicilian duo has decided to ride the trend of the summer, signing a surreal duet with the Milanese singer who has certainly not pulled back. During an episode of "Propaganda Live" (the talk show of La7 hosted by Diego "Zoro" Bianchi), the two Sicilian songwriters proposed to Vannoni to record one of their songs (mentioned live with voice and guitar) and take a tour together. Sooner said than done!

Notte gialla - Emis Killa & Madame: there is a man who tells his torments with reflections on the world and the city that surrounds him. And there is a woman who emphasizes her need to isolate herself from chaos, parties and people to write and pour her thoughts into music.

Drippin in Milano - Anna: it is the artist's attempt to range in other musical genres and seek new sounds, after the success of Bando had remained closed in that dimension. The result is a fresh, captivating song, in full club style ... it seems to have succeeded.

Makumba – Noemi & Carl Brave: the song tells the relationship ended between two lovers who still continue to remember with nostalgia, in spite of all those by whom they are envied and towards whom a macumba is superstitiously turned. The song is a clear invitation to lightness, typically summer, and not to think too much about the judgment of others.

I soldi parlano - Capo Plaza: and if they don't speak, they definitely change existence. This is what explains the text of the song, sub-emphasized in particular by the images of the video, shot in Milan, where some moments of the daily professional and private life of the Salerno rapper are documented.

Well, do you know them all? The hits of the moment are a mix of genres for a season to dance and sing! Whether it is a song of your choice or that it is "imposed" by your neighbor of the umbrella, it will make your legs move and will enter your head so as not to get out of it again!
