AUTUMN 2020: IT’S FAIR SEASON

October and November are the months, during which, festivals and fairs, finally mark the end of the summer. It is known.

It is now also known that the Covid-19 emergency has radically changed the way how people work, produce and study, but above it changed the forms of sociality, aggregation and cultural consumption. This year has been a disastrous year for all the events that include a large audience and spectators.

The summer of 2020 made us miss the traditional festivals, with delicious food stands, typical products of the local culinary tradition, and the noisy and folk amusement parks, where music of the 90s has always animated the squares of towns and cities throughout Italy. But we must not be depressed! Despite the health emergency, in recent months several organizers have been working to host the planned events, by respecting all of the regulations in continuous updating.

And so, as we can see, during the autumn there are going to be many events, thanks to which we will have something interesting to do!
In almost every weekend there will be a trade show, sample or sector, dedicated to specific products, reserved for professionals or open to the general public... I mean, there’s plenty for everyone!

Let’s see together the most interesting appointments:

Engines’ fans will be very happy to know about the largest market of vintage cars and spare parts in Europe: the International Motor Show and Vintage Motorcycles, which will take place from 22 to 25 October in Padua. This edition is not going to host the large market of specialized dealers and the participation of Clubs only. There will be celebrations between pavilions, including 110 years of Alfa Romeo, 85 of Jaguar, 60 of Lancia Flavia and 50 of Range Rover. A particular attention will be given also to the Italian craft brands of the postwar period, that have relaunched the industry in Italy and opened the way to the innovations of the great European brands.

Good news for the fans of the four wheels don’t finish like this: from 29 October to 1 November they can visit the OPEN AIR MOTOR SHOW, a show spread in two locations. The car manufactures will introduce the previews, the prototypes and one-off, in the streets and squares of Milan; while at the National Circuit of Monza there will be dynamic activities of the track. That will also be the ideal opportunity to see the Formula 1 cars of all ages parade.

Avid skiers and mountain lovers will instead turn their attention to the Salone del Turismo and Winter Sports that will be held in Modena from 29 October to 1 November. Presented as the Restar Edition, that is the edition of the restart, SKIPASS 2020 is the edition that professionals, operators, mountain enthusiasts and sportsmen can not miss.

The equestrian world starts again with two consecutive weekends in Verona. The 2020 edition of FIERA CAVALLI will take place from 5 to 8 and from 13 to 15 November with format that was renewed in the calendar and in the content. The event will also host the only Italian stage of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup, marking the restart of the entire sector. We invite you to visit the official page of the event because the thematic areas, sports competitions and related events are too many to describe them all in this article!

From 26 to 29 November Bologna will host the autumn edition of THE CREATIVE WORLD, the show of hobbies and DIY. A journey through creativity full of fun, four days dedicated to the art of learning, observe and get to work creating something with your own hands, having fun thanks to the courses and workshops offered by exhibiting companies that will be available to the public visiting.

Last in order of date, but not less important, is the CRAFTSMAN IN FAIR. The international exhibition of crafts, peoples and nations will be held at Fiera Milano Rho from 5 to 13 December 2020. It will be like taking a trip around the world, during which you can see and buy handicrafts, impossible to be found elsewhere, attend musical events and dance performances and enjoy the best of international cuisine.
